Carpet should be treated like a textile product. Be sure to read the care and maintenance literature provided by the manufacturer because different fibers, styles and finishes can each have their own unique guidelines for care.

A good vacuum cleaner is one of the best things you can do for your carpet. Buy a quality vacuum and use it regularly. Recently there have been significant improvements in the quality of vacuum cleaners which makes them easier to use, lighter weight, stronger in suction and have other convenient features.

Thorough vacuuming removes loose dirt and dust from the fibers. Over time these particles dull your carpet’s appearance. Frequent vacuuming maintains the beauty of your floor covering and extends its life.

Regular vacuuming and periodic professional cleaning of your new carpet will insure longer term beauty and longevity of your floor. But carpet industry mills’ most preferred method of cleaning is water extraction (steam cleaning).

Universal Carpet was wonderful to work with. We had a short period of time in which to work and they were very helpful in locating the right carpet pattern and installing it quickly around our hectic schedule. Everyone in the office complimented the work and was impressed at how quietly the job was completed, which was important as there were other meetings going on at the same time as the installation. Universal Carpet is a very professional company to work with, indeed.
