Universal Carpet warrants all wood labor for a period of two years from the completion of installation. This warranty applies to the installation of wood flooring purchased from Universal Carpet and installed by Universal Carpet’s experts.
Types of services provided from Universal Carpet installers at no charge under the terms of this warranty include repair or replacement of transitional materials (metal, vinyl strips, etc.) which may become loose and re-attachment of loose boards. Expansion and contraction are natural occurrences with hardwood and may be expected and are not covered under this warranty. The removal of furniture and appliances are the responsibility of the customer or can be provided for a charge.
This warranty does not apply to repairs necessitated by abuse, flooding, gapping, improper maintenance, foundation settling, or sub-floor movement. Consequential or incidental damages resulting from other installation services are not covered by this warranty.
Universal Carpet replaced carpet across the entire house. It was a major undertaking, and I was really impressed by the hard-working installation staff. Not only did they do an excellent job with the carpet, but with all the moving involved I felt they really did an outstanding job of taking care of me.
