4 STEPS FOR CHOOSING BATHROOM TILE

1. PICK YOUR MUST HAVE TILE FIRST

When you start a bathroom renovation typically you have one tile that you dream of including in your design. Sometimes its a special or unique accent tile and sometimes its as simple as wanting subway tile. Either way, take that tile and build your bathroom design around it.

2. TRY TO KEEP IT SIMPLE

After choosing your dream tile as a starting point, use it to make decisions for the other tiles you want to include. If your must have tile is unique in color or pattern then you may want to choose more subtle accent colors. However, If your first choice is simple then you may want to choose a tile that will add an element of interest.

Most homeowners will choose a floor tile, a wall tile for the shower or tub, and an accent tile that will be used as a focal point. However, this is just a guideline so don't be afraid to break the rules.

3. STICK TO ONE ACCENT TILE.

There are so many beautiful tiles in stock here in our showroom that it can be easy to try something new as far as design and color. However, our recommendation is that you keep it to one type of accent tile. This will make your bathroom look timeless and really create that wow factor that you want.

4. CONSIDER SCALE

Large scale tiles are trendy right now when it comes to bathrooms. If you choose to go that direction you can use some of the same tile cut in smaller sizes in a different area in the bathroom, adding a unique touch that blends the colors and styles of your bathroom together.
